Joining the Affiliate Program:

Do I have to agree to recruit others to your Affiliate Program in order to join?

Only Affiliate 1.0 Programs require you to recruit other Affiliates. This is an Affiliate 2.0 Program. You don't have to recruit anybody to join our Affiliate Program. Also, it is not at all necessary for any new members referred by you to join our Affiliate Program.

How do I join?

The Yes, You Can Change the World Affiliate program is free to join. Simply fill out our application form and you will receive an email within 3 business days regarding your acceptance into the Program. If your application is accepted, you will receive an email with a link for paying your one-time nonrefundable fee of $39 for setting up your banner to cascade forward on the YesYouCanChangetheWorld.com web site.

Once we've received this, you will receive an e-mail with access to your unique affiliate ID, banners, text links, copy and other content to add to your website.

I don't have a website. Can I still apply?

An e-newsletter can be a good substitute for a website. However, without a web site, you won't be able to take advantage of the Cascading Banner feature of our Program.

In any case, we look at each affiliate application on an individual basis. Prepare a marketing plan outlining your target market, scope, potential, demographic and any previous marketing campaigns and e-mail it to us. Send your e-mail to affiliate@YesYouCanChangetheWorld.com.

I am located outside of the United States, can I be an affiliate?

Yes, affiliates are welcome from anywhere in the world. However, commission payments are made in US dollars.

Can I apply for an account offline?

You can only register online through the form found here, or email affiliate@YesYouCanChangetheWorld.com with your request.

Can I participate in other affiliate programs while I'm participating in yours?

Yes, you can certainly join other affiliate programs.

Does Yes, You Can Change the World accept all websites?

Our Affiliate Team reviews each application and evaluates it for content and suitability for our program. We DO NOT accept websites without their own domain, websites with adult content or any other type of website that is in violation of law or the ethical standards determined by Yes, You Can Change the World.

How long will it take for my application to be reviewed?

Yes, You Can Change the World reviews each application individually. In most instances, your application will be reviewed within three business days or less.

How many links can I have?

You can have as many links as you want. The more links you have, the better the likelihood that visitors will click through to us.

Where do I get banners and content?

Once we've accepted your application, we will set up your account and send you a registration package. This will include your affiliate ID number and a link to the Yes, You Can Change the World administration page. From that page you will be able to view and grab creative, along with statistics and reports.

Where should I place links and banners on my site?

You should place the links and banners on the home page or other high traffic pages on your website. The more visibility you give our site, the more visitors will see it and click through to buy and/or send ripples.

May I use the Yes, You Can Change the World logo or content on my website?

As a Yes, You Can Change the World affiliate, you'll have access to a wide variety of graphics and content that you can use on your website. You may not alter or create your own banners or graphics without obtaining permission from Yes, You Can Change the World. How do you know that a member came from my website?

We use cookies to track referrals. When a visitor to your website clicks through to our site from a banner or text link that contains your unique tracking ID, a cookie is dropped on their computer. This cookie tells us how this visitor came to us, and you are credited with the referral.

On the YesYouCanChangetheWorld.com web site, we use additional Affiliation IDs to keep track of ripples sent from one individual to another.

As each member sends out ripples, this ID cascades forward to all the people to whom they sent ripples and this is how you are credited with these subsequent referrals. This is also how we know to place your banner atop their pages on our site.

Please keep the following in mind:

Every member has the freedom to clear the cookies on their computer. Also, every member has the freedom to clear or change the Affiliation ID in their profile in the YesYouCanChangetheWorld.com web site. If a member tagged with your ID — either through a direct referral or through a ripple chain — decides to make this change, you will no longer receive commissions from such members and your banner will no longer appear on their page … or on the pages of everyone to whom they send ripples.

Each member can be associated with only one ID. As such, you will only be credited with those referrals to our web site — either a direct referral or through a ripple chain — who are new registrants on our web site. If a member referred by you sends a ripple to an individual already registered on our site, you will not be credited with that referral because another Affiliate will have already been credited with that referral.

Does Yes, You Can Change the World have a policy on spamming?

Yes, You Can Change the World does not accept affiliates who engage in spam activities. If an affiliate is using spamming practices to market Yes, You Can Change the World, they will have their account closed immediately, and any payments forfeited. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information.

Can I enter more than one website, and should I use the same affiliate ID for all sites?

Yes, you can have multiple websites, however you will need a different Affiliate ID for each such site. If you need help setting up multiple Affiliate IDs, please email affiliate@YesYouCanChangetheWorld.com.

Buzz and Promotions:

How many people will see my banner?

For every new member you refer to your site, your banner — promoting you and linked to your web site — could be seen by up to hundreds more. It all depends on how many people each new member sends out ripples to … and how many people each of those people send out ripples to … and so on. We will keep cascading your banner forward as long as these chains of ripples reaches a new member.

We will also keep sending e-newsletters to all these members encouraging them and educating them to send out ripples so that your banner keeps cascading out.

When do I submit my banner?

Once your application has been accepted, you will receive an e-mail giving you directions on how to pay the one-time non-refundable set-up fee of $39 for putting up your banner on our site.

Can I change my banner later if I want to?

Yes, you may absolutely change your banner later for any variety of reasons, such as a new campaign, a special announcement, etc. The change will be made systemwide. In other words, everyone who had your old banner will now see your new banner when they visit their pages. However, there is a non-refundable set-up fee of $39 each time you want to change your banner. Send an email to affiliate@YesYouCanChangetheWorld.com for instructions when you're ready to change your banner.

What are the specifications for the banner?

Make your banner 700 px by 130 px; no more than 100KB in size; in either gif or jpeg format. If you'd like us to make a banner for you or change the format of one of your existing banners, send an e-mail with specifics to affiliate@YesYouCanChangetheWorld.com and we'll be glad to quote you charges.

Will there be other banners I'll be competing with?

Your banner will be exclusively the only outside banner on the pages of members you refer to us. Splashed prominently across the top of the page, it will establish the role you play in making the world a better place.

Account Information:

How do I change my account information?

You can make changes by logging in and then, going to the My Profile page, which your includes address information, email address and payment address.

How safe and secure is my information?

We do not sell or rent your contact information to anyone.

I forgot my affiliate ID number. How do I get it?

Simply log in and you will see your account number on the top of the page.

I forgot my password. How do I get it?

Simply go to the log in page and at the center of the screen, you will see the legend, "Forgot your password?" In the space provided, enter the e-mail address with which your registered and your password will be e-mailed to you.

Where can I read the program's Terms and Conditions?

Go to the Program Sign Up Page. Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see a button for the Terms and Conditions.

Earnings and Payments:

Do I earn commissions on books I purchase myself?

No, you cannot earn commissions on your own account. If you buy books on our site and your affiliate referral is yourself, we will not pay out on these purchases.

How are my commissions calculated?

You have three opportunities for a payout:

You receive a 17.5% commission on every copy of Yes, You Can Change the World purchased by a member referred by you. This includes bulk purchases they may make to give to their friends and family. You receive 17.5% of their bulk price.

You also receive a 17.5% commission on every copy of Yes, You Can Change the World purchased by members tagged with your ID. These are all those people who are part of a ripple chain initiated by a member you referred.

You also receive a 17.5% commission on every book or CD purchased from the entire online catalog of products by Aman Motwane by either of the above group of people.

Please note you do not earn a commission on shipping and handling charges and you do not earn a commission on any workshops or services provided by Aman Motwane. And the commissions on any refunds are deducted from your total commissions.

How often am I paid?

Commissions are paid out once per month, on or around the 15th of the month for all sales completed up to 45 days prior. The reason for the time lapse of 45 days is to allow for any refund requests, which are rare but can occur. Commissions are paid to the name that you used on the registration form by check.

I operate more than one website. Can you track them separately but pay my entire balance with one commission payment?

We do not have the facility to do this at the present time but are working on a solution.

Is there a minimum commission required to receive a payment?

The minimum balance to receive a payment is $50. If commissions are less than $50, the balance will be held until there is $50 in your account or until one 12-month period has passed.

How can I see my statistics and earnings?

Simply log in and you will be able to view reports at any time.

Can I view my traffic stats, such as the number of clicks and conversions?

Yes! Our reports are designed to provide you important details like clicks and conversions.

Can you give me more information about the members I have referred?

Protecting the privacy of those who visit our sites is of utmost importance. When opening an account, these members know that their information is safe, and that's why they continue to be part of our movement and web site. As such, we cannot provide you their personal information.
